The Stripper Mom

We just received this email from a dancer and she needs your help:

----------------------

I’m sending you an email because I’m seriously embarrassed and would die if anyone figured out who I am or where I work. I’m a single mom - one gorgeous little girl - and I work as an exotic dancer. My family, my daughter’s friends and my neighbors think I have an office job.

Luckily for me, where I dance is a good distance from my home. I would be horrified if my daughter found out what I really do for work. Everyone outside the club knows me as an executive assistant for a Senior VP. My plan was to get that office job some day - I do have a college degree. The problem is that I bring home good money and work part time.

I researched women's professional fashion and bought a few business outfits. My onstage persona is the sexy librarian type, so the outfits get plenty of use. I dress in business attire when I travel to and from my house. When I’m not working, my life revolves around my daughter.

There’s no worry of anyone discovering my secret life, but I’m tired of lying. I can’t bring myself to admit where I really work and what I really do. And getting a new job with a dancer’s resume might be impossible.

Any ideas or advice?

I feel stuck and I want my little girl to be proud of me!
