This has been unintentional, but Shannon feels like her and Andrew are going back and forth trying to make their respective homes "cool" for the kids. Shannon got a neon light for Lucy's bedroom - Now he wants to get one. He gets access to all of his nephews' awesome toys like go-karts and stuff; So she has been pricing out an in-ground trampoline. They joke about it, but we can totally see Shannon turning this into a competition for the cooler house.
